Health
center care is equal to or better than that of other private providers,
according to a new study.
An analysis by the George Washington University School of Public Health and
Health Services reveals that health centers perform at levels that equal or
exceed quality performance results in the private sector. In a
NACHC press release issued in response to
the study, NACHC's Dan Hawkins said, "These findings confirm that health care
does not have to be complicated nor expensive to deliver good results and make a
difference in people's lives. Indeed, health centers are one of the few
affordable health care options for low-income, uninsured, and underserved
people, but the quality of their primary health care services can also benefit
consumers with private insurance and the means to choose their providers."
