Midland Community Healthcare Services, Inc. (MCHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit operating four clinics in the Midland, Texas area. We are dedicated to bringing high-quality, efficient health care to everyone in our community that needs it! Our clinics include Pediatrics, Women's Services, Adult & Family Medicine, and a new Dental Clinic. MCHS is a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center.

MCHS is able to offer low-cost or in some cases, no-cost, services due to many State and Federal Healthcare Grants. It is important that all patients first make an appointment with one of MCHS's Eligibility Counselors. By going through this process, we can determine which programs YOU or your family may be eligible for, thus reducing any out-of-pocket expenses for your visit. Many of these programs require a small patient co-pay based upon a sliding fee scale. Our Eligibility Counselors can provide full details on your specific situation! MCHS operates under a community health model with the legal authority resting with the governing board that is responsible for all policies. MCHS is governed by a thirteen member Board of Directors, 55% of which are active users of MCHS (and represent in terms of ethnicity and gender the population served).

The MCHS clinics have been approved by the Texas Department of Health and the Texas Association of Community Healthcare Centers. MCHS is officially certified by the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) as a Federally Qualified Health Care – Community Health Center (FQHC-CHC) designated grantee on April 11, 2005 effective December 1, 2005. MCHS is the only FQHC-CHC in the region. Additionally, it is one of the fastest growing FQHC-CHC’s in the state, underscoring the strong and growing need for services in this region. MCHS also formally collaborates with numerous local and area agencies, organization, clinics, hospitals, universities, and physicians in private practice all of whom contribute to MCHS’s ability to meet the demands for service and raise awareness of MCHS as a resource.

Mission Statement

Midland Community Healthcare Services provides affordable, comprehensive, accessible, culturally appropriate, cost-effective primary health care to residents mainly in Midland County, especially individuals/families with limited resources or other barriers to health care to improve their overall health status.

Vision Statement

To create a sustainable health care resource for our community and improve the health and well being of the patients we serve. We will act as an integral partner with the community in the promotion of health, education, and access to care.

Values Statement

• We believe that the Health Center is a sanctuary, a place of refuge for those who need healing and community.  We will constantly strive to create a tolerant and caring environment for all our patients.
• We believe that all who enter our doors must be heard, valued, and honored for their way of being and knowing.
• We insist on a continuous progression in words and deeds toward a better understanding and service of the community’s needs.
• Through all our endeavors, we will promote the community's ownership of the health center which will rely on the cultural wealth of West Texas to sustain and nurture Midland Community Healthcare Services.
